Smart Payout Card – FAQ

1. What is State Bank Smart Payout Card?

The State Bank Smart Payout Card is a Prepaid Card usable at all State Bank Group ATMs free of cost, other bank ATMs with charges(currently Rs.20/- for cash withdrawal and Rs.9/- for enquiry) with PIN, at Merchant establishments/ Point of Sale or for making online transactions, in India only.

2. What are the uses of the product?

It is an ideal product for disbursement of various benefits like, wages to blue collar workers, bonus/incentives to employees / reimbursement of expenses to staff/ periodical payment of incentives to agents/ commission to distributors. It is a Prepaid Card which allows employees to access their pay at ATMs with PIN & use at POS or for making online transactions.

3. Can I request a Smart Payout card through Internet Banking?

Yes. If you have an Internet Banking enabled account with transaction rights. Use the Smart Payout Card link in the Requests tab to request for a Smart Payout card. Once you provide the beneficiary details and mailing address for the card, you will receive an SMS password to complete the request. Please note that SMS will be sent to the mobile number registered in the Profile section.

4. What does a kit contain?

Smart Payout Card kit contains PIN Mailer, booklet containing terms, conditions and other necessary details.

5. Can I request for multiple Smart Payout cards?

Yes. There is no restriction on number of cards but for one beneficiary only one card can be issued.(Excluding current account)

6. Will there be any commission charged for Smart Payout card?

Card issuance charge of Rs. 105+ST will be charged.

7. What is the schedule of charges of State Bank Smart Payout Card?


Schedule of Charges:

ISSUANCE CHARGES Rs. 105 +ST (irrespective of the amount loaded)
ISSUE OF REPLACEMENT CARD Rs. 105+ST (plus actual courier charges)
RELOAD FEE Nil
WITHDRAWAL AT OTHER BANK ATMS Rs.20/-
BALANCE ENQUIRY AT OTHER BANK ATMS Rs.9/-

8. How will I get the Smart Payout card?

The Smart Payout card will be dispatched to the address given in your Smart Payout card request form.

9. How many days will take to deliver the Smart Payout card?

The Smart Payout card will be dispatched within 10-15 working days.

10. What will be the balance in the card when customer receives the Smart Payout card?

The balance in the card will be zero.

11. How can I top up the card?

The top up can be done online through Internet Banking. In the Smart Payout Card Page, click the Top Up tab. Enter the top up amount and select the debit account for the transaction. You will receive an SMS password to complete the top up request. Please note that SMS will be sent to the mobile number registered in the Profile section.

12. Is there any minimum and maximum limit for top up of Smart Payout card?

Maximum load at any point of time cannot exceed Rs.10000/-.Re-loadable with a load/reload limit of Rs. 10,000/- with monthly ceiling of Rs.25, 000/-. (limit of Rs.10000/- per transaction and Rs.25000/- per month).

13. How many times the Smart Payout card can be topped up?

Any number of Reloads is allowed till the expiry of Card, with stipulation of any time maximum load of Rs.10000/- with monthly ceiling of Rs.25000/-..

14. How much time it will take to top up the card?

The Smart Payout card is topped up instantly.

15. Will there be any expiry date in the Smart Payout card?

Yes. The expiry date will be printed on the card.

16. Can I view the status of cards requested by me?

Yes. You can view the status of cards in ‘View History’ link.

17. Is it possible to use the Smart Payout card in ATM and POS?

Cash withdrawal at any SBG ATMs (free of charge) and with charge at other Bank’s ATM. (Rs.20/- for cash withdrawal & Rs.9/- for enquiry) At Point of Sale (POS) in Merchant Establishments, At any merchant site accepting VISA Cards for e-Commerce txns.

18. What should I do if my Smart Payout card is lost or stolen?

To report a damaged/lost/ stolen card, just call 1800-11-22-11/1800-425-3800, SBI’s 24 hour toll free number or +91-22-27566598/ +91-22-27580506 either directly or through the employer/company. The call centre will ascertain any 2 of the following additional information about the Card/cardholder viz. Card Number, Card Holder’s name, Date of Birth, Mother’s maiden Name. After verification of the information, the card will be blocked and the replacement Cards/PINs will be sent to the home branch. Application for replacement Card will be submitted through the Card issuing Branch/Corporate. Replacement Card will be send by the prepaid host to the issuing Branch.

19. Can I transfer the money between two Smart Payout cards?

No. Money transfer is not possible between two Smart Payout cards.

20. Where can I see the Smart Payout card statement?

The Smart Payout card statement can be viewed at https://prepaid.onlinesbi.com

21. Can I do online transaction with the Smart Payout card?

Yes. You can perform any online transaction using a Smart Payout card.

22. How to cancel/close the Smart Payout Card?

Once card is expired or surrendered the unspent/unutilized amount will be refunded to the beneficiaries’ cardholder through authorized SBI branch.

23. What to do with the card after expiry period. Do I need to return it to bank?

Cut the card into two or three pieces and dispose it off.

24. The Account Holder would be allowed to buy only one Payout Card per beneficiary?

Yes.
